Dear Laemmle Fans,
Last night’s screening of The Dark Divide marked the inauguration of our drive-in movie series, presented in partnership with The Roadium. Save the date next Thursday, October 24, for an exclusive outdoor showing of Jessica Chastain’s new thriller Ava (click here for the full series schedule).
This week’s stellar new virtual lineup begins with Blackbird, starring a never-better Susan Sarandon across from Kate Winslet and Mia Wasikowska. Other films include the Israeli drama God of the Piano, and a variety of new docs about culinary competitions, a band of holocaust survivors, and political corruption in modern-day Kenya. You can even stop by our Pasadena or Santa Monica locations this weekend to pick up some hot buttered popcorn to enjoy alongside your movie (more info here).
All the best,
Greg Laemmle

On eventive.org the “unlock now” icon does not work..no response. Already unlocked? “Log into your account” does not work…no response. Or do we need to have an account with Laemmle AND an account with eventive.org to watch a movie? If so, the “log into your account” doesn’t provide ANY response with which to set up an account with eventive.org. It seems eventive.org is not working for Laemmle.
This is all very frustrating. The Laemmle’s website shows my premiere card with a 0 balance when it has money on it. So I loaded another $50.00 AFTER WHICH I learn I can’t use that card for a virtual performance. Why would Laemmle let me load my card when I can’t use it anywhere? Then I started watching Blackbird virtually, after paying the $9.99 on a credit card, and got 10 minutes into the movie when buffering started. Can’t get past the buffering. I would prefer to walk out of my house, get into my car, drive to a theatre, park, walk into the theatre, buy a ticket, walk to my seat, and sit there until the movie reliably begins. I would prefer to do all of that than to experience this “virtual” frustration. I want my $9.99 back!!! And will I lose the $50.00 I just added to the premiere card?
