PUNCHING HENRY star Henry Phillips and filmmaker Gregori Viens will participate in Q&A’s after the 7:40 shows and introduce the 10:15 shows at the Monica Film Center on Friday and Saturday, February 24 and 25. Actor-comedian Tig Notaro, cinematographer Bryce Fortner, and moderator Lesley O’Toole will join them for the Friday, 7:40 show Q&A.

Punching Henry’s eponymous star, Henry Phillips, is ha! larious! In the post-film Q&A at the Monica Film Center (Thank you, Laemmle!) he said, dryly, “I find failure funny” and his aptitude for failing funny smiled my face tired – requiring a kind of Kegel exercises for the cheeks as the laughter never quite empties out; the interior gut-chortle rolls on and on like conversation and the feeling of joy. Henry’s deadpan persona effervesces with so much sparkle that, hell, I wanna fail just like him. In the end, you just like him.
Saw “Punching Henry” last night at SAG Foundation…the most hilarious movie I have seen in a long, long time. GO SEE immediately!!! You will laugh your face off…bring your oxygen and wear Depends…seriously!!!
